SummaryThe Program Manager oversees a portfolio of interrelated construction projects supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and military‑installation initiatives. This role ensures alignment between project execution and organizational strategic goals by guiding Project Managers, optimizing resources, and driving program‑level performance. The Program Manager serves as the primary stakeholder liaison and is responsible for ensuring program efficiency, compliance, and successful delivery of advanced technology, communications, and infrastructure solutions deployed across U.S. military bases.Primary ResponsibilitiesOversee a portfolio of projects supporting military‑installation work, including electrical, communications, security, and emerging‑technology deployments.Ensure program objectives, timelines, and execution strategies align with organizational priorities and federal/DoD requirements.Serve as the primary customer and stakeholder liaison, providing detailed, timely program‑level reporting and communication.Coordinate across Project Managers, engineering teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to maintain execution cohesion and consistency.Monitor and manage program‑wide schedules and budgets, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and compliance obligations are met.Identify program‑level risks, track variances, and implement mitigation or recovery plans to ensure operational continuity.Lead program reviews, customer calls, project meetings, and status discussions to maintain alignment across all contributors.Develop and maintain mechanisms to track program KPIs, performance metrics, and operational effectiveness.Forecast program resource needs, balance workloads across teams, and manage contractor support when necessary.Optimize systems, workflows, and tools to enhance operational efficiency across interconnected projects.Build and sustain productive relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and DoD-related stakeholders.Perform additionalduties to support program goals as organizational needs evolve.Minimum Education And ExperienceBA/BS in a related field.8+ years of project or program management experience within relevant industries (telecommunications, wireless, electrical, technology infrastructure, or defense).Experience supporting DoD, military‑installation operations, federal contracting, or work within secure or compliance‑sensitive environments.Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances for work on military bases.Preferred And Additional Eligibility QualificationsProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credential.Working knowledge of electrical systems, power utilization, and structured cabling.Proficiency with engineering/design tools such as AutoCAD or Bluebeam for reviewing plans and assessing constructability.Prior experience collaborating with or supporting federal contractors delivering communications, cyber operations, or mission‑critical systems.Familiarity with base‑access requirements, compliance processes, and security protocols for DoD installations.Skills RequiredStrategic thinking to align program direction with organizational goals while managing interdependencies across projects.Expertise in coordinating multiple project teams, ensuring collaboration, cohesion, and efficient resource utilization.Advanced problem‑solving skills to anticipate challenges, resolve conflicts, and drive innovation at the program level.Strong decision‑making abilities with the capacity to balance priorities and manage risks across diverse technical and operational environments.Exceptional communication and influencing skills to build alignment with stakeholders, leadership, and cross‑functional teams.Proficiency in developing program plans, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.Leadership skills to mentor Project Managers, promote accountability, and foster a high‑performance culture.High attention to detail with the ability to oversee program‑level metrics and address critical risks and opportunities.Continuous‑improvement mindset, incorporating lessons learned to enhance program processes and organizational success.Direct/Indirect Supervisory ResponsibilityProvides direction and alignment for cross‑functional teams and Project Managers to ensure program milestones and organizational goals are met.Work Environment / Physical Demands / Travel RequirementsOffice‑based environment with extended periods of computer work.Full‑time role (40 hours per week), with occasional travel to client facilities, military installations, and project sites as needed.AAP/EEO Statement NextEdge provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
