ApplyJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionJob Summary:The Operator I is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery used in the production process. This role ensures equipment runs efficiently, materials are loaded correctly, and finished products meet quality standards. Operators perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, follow safety protocols, and maintain accurate production records.Responsibilities Of The PositionOperate at least one type of primary packaging capability; including handling, forming, sealing, weighing, and discharge systems of finished packaged goodsSelect and verify recipe selection for primary packaging equipment and PPCs, and adjust scales to maintain target weights if applicableMaintain approved centerline settings and restore them after downtime or change oversMaintain adherence to manufacturing instructions (MI) per itemCreate finished good lot codes both manually and systematically on a daily basisPerform autonomous maintenance (AM) per line form and frequencyConduct startup and shut down procedures safely and per SOPPerform 1st pass troubleshooting of common issues, such as film tracking, seal defects, and weight variationsEscalate issues using the help chain and participate in DMS 1 CommunicationsMaintain all equipment to ensure efficient runningReport any machine deficiencies to Maintenance as neededSupply all materials to each employee at the line when required to do soComplete required quality checks, inspections, and documentationMaintain 5S standards and equipment cleanlinessAssign duties to employees at the line as neededEnforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation and teamworkAttend selected meetingsPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementRequirementsQualifications:0-2 years Operator experienceAverage math skills and proven ability to perform tasksAbility to read and interpret company documentsAbility to communicate effectively with all levelsMechanical or machine operation experienceFood Safety ResponsibilitiesAttend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)Participate in company GMP walksEnforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoringWorking ConditionsOffice setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degreesThis position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the business.This position may require the employee to work at other facilities than their own to meet the needs of the businessWorking Shifts between 8 and 12 hoursAble to work in a facility where milk, eggs, peanuts, soy and/or wheat allergens are processed, with or without accommodation.Physical RequirementsActive position that requires standing, walking, reaching, and bendingAble to operate industrial equipment and company specific equipment.Associate must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, andSalary Description$ 17.00 - $ 21.00
