Dev Ops Engineer
Overview
As a DevOps Kubernetes Engineer, you help scale Numerator’s infrastructure from on-prem to cloud, enabling reliable data platforms for consumer insights. You work across teams to improve observability, enable self-service capabilities, and drive innovation with IaC and modern tools. Your work shapes how new projects are delivered at scale to meet client needs. This role combines hands-on engineering with architecture and technology advocacy in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

ResponsibilitiesParticipate in cross-team design reviews and troubleshooting to address infrastructure issuesImprove observability and monitoring for large-scale systems across technologiesCreate training materials and promote DevOps culture with self-healing and self-service ecosystemsBuild internal tools to demonstrate performance and operational effectivenessPlan and refine tasks and epics in sprint planningIntroduce new tools and drive PoCs with third-party vendors during evaluationsMentor teams on infrastructure solutions and best practicesDocument solutions clearly for technical and non-technical audiences
Key requirements4+ years in cloud-based DevOps/IT/Networking or Software Engineering rolesStrong understanding of reliability, availability, and performance engineeringExperience with networking, OS, packaging/build systems, databases, and telemetry (e.g., Sentry, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Mimir)Proficiency with Kubernetes in major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)Prototyping with shell scripting, Python, and GolangExperience with Terraform and Ansible for deploymentAgile methodologies and Scrum familiarity; ability to manage multiple projectsMentoring and documentation skillsUndergraduate or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Security or Information SecurityCollaborative mindsetProactive problem-solverStrong communication and mentoring abilitiesKubernetes in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)Cloud-based deployment and IaC (Terraform, Ansible)Observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, Loki, Tempo, Mimir)
