Job Description Project Manager – Self-Perform Concrete ConstructionLocation: Sioux Falls, SD region (1–2 hours preferred)A rapidly growing, family-owned self-perform concrete contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to help lead major private-sector concrete projects across the Upper Midwest. This is not an entry-level role — ideal candidates bring 5–10+ years of experience and strong financial, leadership, and client-focused skills.Key ResponsibilitiesManage projects from preconstruction through turnover (budget, schedule, change management, documentation)Own project financials — forecasting, cost tracking, and margin performanceLead RFIs, submittals, change orders, and coordinationUtilize Bluebeam, Procore, and Trimble/ProjectSight (experience preferred, not required)Work closely with outsourced estimators to review take-offs and finalize bid numbersMaintain strong relationships with owners, GCs, developers, and vendorsRepresent the company early in design phases, positioning for upcoming opportunitiesSupport field teams and project engineers as a culture carrier and leaderIdeal BackgroundBest Fit (Concrete PM)Self-perform concrete experience (slabs, foundations, walls, tilt-up, industrial, multistory, etc.)Background with reputable concrete-focused contractorsProven ability to drive project financials and P&L outcomesComfortable traveling 1–2 days per week as needed (mostly structured day trips)Also ConsideredCandidates from strong commercial GCs or heavy civil contractors with:Solid PM fundamentalsSome exposure to concrete workWillingness to deepen their concrete experienceIf you meet ~80% of the requirements and are open to relocating to Sioux Falls, you will be seriously considered.Travel Expectations (Realistic & Manageable)Generally 1–2 days/week onsite for key projectsOften structured as day trips (early morning out, return same day)Long-term plan: project engineers onsite 4–5 days/week, reducing PM travelProjects fall within an 8-hour radius along the I-29 corridor (ND, SD, MN, northern MO, IL)This is not a heavy-travel or weekly hotel-stay roleWhat They're Looking For (Soft Skills & Mindset)Ownership mentality — treats each project like a businessStrong communicator with credibility in front of owners and developersProcess-oriented PM who brings structure and consistencySomeone excited to grow with the company as it scales from ~$50M toward $80M+Willingness to relocate to the Sioux Falls region (strongly preferred)Compensation & Growth PathCompetitive salary based on experience (ideal range: 5–15 years as a PM)Clear advancement track: Project Engineer → PM → Senior PM → leadership potentialOpportunity to help build and lead the planned Sioux Falls satellite officeLong-term stability with multi-year, multi-phase data center and commercial work already awardedIf you're a driven PM ready to make an impact in a fast-growing concrete organization, we'd like to connect.
