Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Part-time DSP (Direct Support Professional) to join our team in Gambrills, MD. The Part-time DSP will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. This position requires availability on Thursday from 3pm to 11pm and Saturday from 11pm to 7am, totaling 16 hours per week.Responsibilities Provide assistance with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. Create a safe and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities. Encourage independence and community integration among program participants. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress. Communicate effectively Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support. Lift at least 50lbs as needed to assist individuals.Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate attitude and patient demeanor. Understanding of person-centered approaches to support individuals with disabilities. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs. Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance.
