Licensing Engineer

OverviewWe're seeking a Senior Licensing Engineer to support the technical analyses underpinning NRC licensing for our fuel cycle facilities. This is a hands-on technical role, not document management, you'll develop the safety and licensing analyses that support our regulatory submittals, working closely with process engineering, criticality safety, and operations teams. Your work will directly inform our license application and path to operation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop technical analyses supporting NRC license applications and amendmentsPerform criticality safety, radiological, and consequence analyses supporting the Integrated Safety AnalysisDraft technical content for license applications, safety analysis reports, and related submissionsSupport technical interactions with NRC staff during pre-application engagement and license reviewsCoordinate with outside licensing consultants as needed while maintaining the company's technical position in-houseWork directly with process and facility engineers so licensing requirements inform design decisions earlyQualificationsBS, MS, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering or related field5+ years in nuclear facility licensing, safety analysis, or nuclear systems engineeringHands-on experience with criticality safety or consequence/dose analysesWorking knowledge of relevant NRC regulations (10 CFR 70, 40, or similar, as applicable)Direct experience supporting NRC licensing activities at a fuel cycle facility, reactor vendor, utility, or engineering firmPreferredPrior experience at the NRCExperience at a fuel cycle facility, enrichment facility, or advanced reactor/fuel developerAuthorship of license applications, ISA sections, or safety analysis report chaptersParticipation in NRC pre-application meetingsStartup experience, or strong interest in a fast-moving engineering environment
