As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:Valid Occupational Therapy license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree or higher of Occupational TherapyOTR Certification (NBCOT)Occupational Therapy Assistant experience, but New Grads are welcome to applyOther certifications or licenses may be required for this positionSummary:The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients develop, recover, and enhance the skills necessary for independent daily living. Working across diverse settings, the OT evaluates patient needs, diagnoses functional limitations, and designs individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique goals. Through direct, hands-on interventions and the use of adaptive techniques and specialized equipment, the OT empowers patients and educates their families on strategies to optimize functional independence and improve overall quality of life.Essential Work Functions:Create personalized therapy plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based practices, and patient goalsDeliver individualized occupational therapy interventions and treatments in accordance with the established treatment planProvide direct, hands-on therapy using adaptive techniques, modalities, and assistive devices to improve functional abilities in daily living and work-related tasksEducate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, techniques, and strategies to enhance independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLsCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, holistic careTrack patient progress through regular evaluations, modify treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation in the medical recordEngage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in occupational therapyAdhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to maintain a secure and supportive therapy environmentCollaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home-based settingsPerform additional duties assigned within scope of practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
