Position: Lead webMethods Engineer/DeveloperLocation: Reston, VA 20190 — HybridJob DescriptionThe Lead webMethods Engineer/Developer will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions using Software AG webMethods. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring strong expertise in webMethods development along with the ability to guide technical teams and ensure successful delivery.The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performing integration solutions that align with enterprise architecture and business requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise integration solutions using Software AG webMethods.Develop and maintain integrations using webMethods Integration Server, Designer, Universal Messaging, API Gateway, and webMethods.io.Define and implement integration patterns for REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, file-based integrations, and event-driven architectures.Provide hands-on technical leadership in developing robust and scalable webMethods integrations.Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, performance, scalability, and development standards.Design and implement frameworks for error handling, logging, monitoring, alerting, and system resilience.Lead technical discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and integration architecture decisions.Troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality integration services.Establish best practices for webMethods development, deployment, version control, CI/CD, and production support.Mentor and provide technical guidance to other developers while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.Ensure integration solutions are reliable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with enterprise technology standards.
