Company offers excellent benefits, relocation package, and competitive pay; great opportunities for growth!The Elastomer Formulation Chemist is responsible for developing new commercial applications for the company. This position develops projects in an assigned product / customer area; contributes to the preparation, presentation, and follow-up of proposals, plans and organizes research effort; analyzes research outcomes and makes recommendations to the team and their customers.Product Development ActivitiesPlan, conduct, and direct projects of major importance related to developing new commercial applicationsApply technical knowledge in support of customers’ use of products and develop business relationships within all areas of supply chainResolve technical problems requiring application of knowledgeOriginate and apply new and unique problem-solving approachBusiness Development ActivitiesDevelop and maintain customer relationships alongside others on the Applications TeamPrepare and present technical info to interested parties (customers, technical meetings, etc.)Analyze research and make technical recommendations regarding product-lineReporting ActivitiesPrepare monthly reportsWrite research reports upon completion of projectsCollaborationCollaborate with and provide technical advice to other professionals inside and outside the organizationExchange information with other chemists and scientists through professional organizationsComplianceComply with all Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and proceduresAdhere to the company’s Integrated Management SystemOther ResponsibilitiesWork with latitude for action or decision that may be in cooperation with supervisorContinuously seek ways to improve the performance of the facility’s operationEnsure customers’ (both internal and external) needs are metPerform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or managementSalary$90,000 - $130,000BenefitsM/D/V/401K/HASTechnical Qualifications:BS Degree in Chemistry or related degreeMinimum of 2 years of industry experience in elastomer product formulationExperience working with customers, R&D, sales and manufacturing, troubleshooting technical issuesIf you’d like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Devin Heffernan at dheffernan@cps4jobs.com.JO: 5.1.26DH
