Family-owned custom machine builder in Birmingham, building industrial equipment since 1948. We do everything in house — machining, fabrication, welding, painting, and final assembly — and every machine we build is one of a kind. We're hiring an Assembler to build custom machinery from prints and 3D models. This is real machine-building work, not line assembly. No two jobs are the same.What You'll Do• Assemble custom machines, frames, guards, and mechanical components• Work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models• Measure accurately with tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools• Operate drills, impacts, hand tools, and power tools• Move material with forklifts and overhead cranes• Inspect your own work for fit, alignment, and quality• Support fabrication, machining, welding, and paint as needed• Keep a clean, safe work areaWhat You Need• Solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to work through problems• Comfortable reading basic prints and using 3D models as a reference• Accurate with a tape measure and calipers• Hands-on experience with power and hand tools• Forklift and overhead-crane familiarity• Dependable attendance and a willingness to learn• Ability to work safely as part of a teamNice to Have• Welding, machining, fabrication, or industrial painting experience• Prior mechanical or industrial equipment assembly• Willingness to travel for machine installation and serviceSchedule and PayMonday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. $20–$26/hour based on experience and skill level.BenefitsHealth insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and 401(k).
