Job Description:Position SummaryThe Department of Business & Economics at Salve Regina University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure track) position beginning August 2026. The primary teaching responsibilities for this position will include introductory accounting and foundational business analytics. The successful candidate will teach a standard 4/4 course load, with emphasis on ACC-101 (Financial Accounting), ACC-104 (Managerial Accounting), and MGT-160/MGT-030 (Business Analytics and Excel-Based Decision Making). Experience preparing students for industry-recognized Excel certification is welcome. Ability to teach introductory finance (such as MGT-270: Financial Management) is strongly preferred.This position is grounded in the University's Mercy Mission, emphasizing holistic education, ethical leadership, and service to the community. We seek an educator who is engaged, student-centered, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports academic success and personal growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach undergraduate courses, particularly:ACC-101: Financial AccountingACC-104: Managerial AccountingMGT-160 and/or MGT-030: Business Analytics / Excel for Business Decision Making(Preferred) Teach introductory finance (e.g., MGT-270: Financial Management)Support student learning and inclusive engagement in the classroom.Participate in curriculum development and assessment initiatives.Advise and mentor students academically and professionally.Contribute to departmental and University service activities. Requirements:Required QualificationsMaster's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.Relevant professional industry experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, business analytics, or related area.Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts clearly and support student learning.Commitment to Salve Regina University's Mercy values, including respect for the dignity of all persons and service to the community.
