Project SchedulerPharmaceutical Capital Projects (Contract)Location: North Chicago, IL (Hybrid — 3 days onsite, 2 remote)Duration: 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension to 18+ monthsBrooksource is partnering with a leading global pharmaceutical company at their North Chicago campus to identify a Project Scheduler for a major multi-phase capital construction project. This is a complex, active renovation of a 4-story pharmaceutical manufacturing facility involving multiple construction phases, equipment installation, and coordination across a large cross-functional project team.This role is ideal for a seasoned construction scheduler who understands the regulated pharma environment — someone who knows that change control is the gating item before construction begins, understands CQV milestones, and can hold contractors accountable while staying proactively ahead of schedule risks.What You'll DoMaintain and build onto an existing MS Project schedule already hundreds of lines deep, adding detail across decommissioning, regulatory/licensing, change control tracking, and construction phasesRun two-week lookaheads, identify and track float, and proactively communicate schedule risks before they become problemsCoordinate schedule inputs from the Construction Manager, CQV coordinator, project controls/procurement, and operations teamsProduce regular schedule updates and status reports for project leadershipParticipate in project meetings and hold contractors accountable to their schedule commitmentsSupport a fast-paced, direct project team environment where self-direction and proactive communication are essentialWhat You'll Need7+ years of project scheduling experience — pharma, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment experience is requiredDemonstrated understanding of pharma capital project phases including change control, CQV, and construction sequencingStrong MS Project proficiency — this is the tool used on the project; P6/Primavera experience is a plus but not requiredExperience scheduling in active, operating facilities with multiple concurrent work frontsStrong communication skills and the ability to push back, advocate for the schedule, and work proactively without being managedLocal to the Chicagoland area — travel reimbursement is not providedPreferred:Experience at a pharma EPC firm (Turner & Townsend, Jacobs, CRB, IPS, etc.)Food manufacturing or chemical plant scheduling background will also be consideredAPI experience is a plus but not requiredLogisticsLocation: North Chicago, IL — 3 days onsite minimum, 2 days remoteStart: ASAP — interviews targeting JuneDuration: 6-month contract, strong likelihood of extending 18+ months with potential for FTE conversionInterview Process: One 30-minute interview with the hiring teamWhy Join Us?401(k) Matching PlanMedical, Dental, & Vision PlansRelationship Driven Process to Find Your Best Fit6 Paid HolidaysRegular Meetings to Ensure Quality in Your EngagementHow to Apply If you're interested in learning more about this opportunity, please apply directly or connect with a Brooksource recruiter to discuss the role in more detail.About UsAt Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
