Vice President Credit Officer (Project Finance, Infrastructure, Data Center)

Division Overview:The Risk Management function plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s long-term stability and sustainable growth by providing independent oversight of risk-taking activities. The team applies advanced risk frameworks and analytical expertise to identify, measure, and manage risk across the organization, working closely with business lines to ensure balanced, risk-aware decision-making.The function is responsible for oversight of key risk types, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, and strategic risks across corporate and investment banking activities.Within the credit risk area, the team manages exposures to corporates, structured finance transactions, financial institutions, and sovereign counterparties, while also overseeing country risk across global portfolios.A key component of the role includes developing and maintaining credit policies in partnership with senior stakeholders across the business and risk organization. These policies define underwriting standards, approval criteria, and exposure limits to ensure consistent and disciplined credit decisioning across all client segments and financing structures.Responsibilities:Conduct credit assessments across Project Finance portfolios, including Renewables, Data Centers, Infrastructure, and Trade & Sustainable Commodity Finance.Perform detailed obligor analysis, incorporating historical performance of existing operations and identifying key credit and operational risk factors.Evaluate proposed transactions and provide clear approval or recommendation outcomes, documenting rationale for final credit decisioning.Validate obligor risk ratings, Basel IV parameters (including LGD), and associated financial metrics to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.Monitor ongoing credit quality across the portfolio through quarterly reviews, including early identification of potential credit deterioration.Participate in quarterly watchlist reviews and contribute to escalation and remediation discussions for at-risk exposures.Track and analyze credit and market trends across both bank lending and bond markets to inform risk positioning and portfolio management decisions.ROLE SUMMARY:6+ years with within financial services with a focus on Project Finance & Infrastructure and Trade & Sustainable Commodity Finance and their financing needs.Broad knowledge of risks impacting non-recourse project finance and commodity traders, specifically with a specific expertise in credit and counterparty risk.Must have good knowledge of the US Market and regulatory practices.Experienced credit risk professional specializing in the assessment, structuring, and approval of complex credit exposures across Project Finance, Energy & Infrastructure, Data Centers, and Trade & Sustainable Commodity Finance.Responsible for conducting detailed credit analysis, validating risk ratings and key credit parameters, and providing clear approval recommendations on new and existing transactions. The role also includes ongoing portfolio monitoring, early identification of credit deterioration, and participation in watchlist and risk review forums.Works closely with senior risk leadership to ensure prudent risk selection, compliance with internal credit policies, and alignment with broader portfolio strategy and market developments.
