The ideal candidate will have an intermediate background in both RESTful API and API management as well as experience reading and troubleshooting in Python, JavaScript, and related technologies. This position will have the responsibility of maintaining APIs for our products and services.The E-Commerce Integration Manager will also be expected to provide technical and business analysis to ensure the APIs are delivering the desired results. The successful candidate will understand API design, including the principles of REST, JSON and OAuth and be comfortable working with databases and web technologies. You should also be able to work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that the APIs are meeting the needs of our customers. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. If you are an experienced API Manager or even an API developer and are looking for a challenging and rewarding position, we would love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesAs an E-Commerce Integration Manager at DSTNC, you will be managing and troubleshooting APIs to which provide access to DSTNC’s core data retrieval and service offeringCreate detailed API documentation to enable third-party developers to easily integrate with DSTNC’s platformCreate and maintain API client libraries to provide an easy-to-use interface for third-party developersTrack API performance metrics and work to improve the stability, scalability, and availability of the APIsMonitor API usage to identify trends and anticipate customer needsCollaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needsProject ManagementIn addition to your technical expertise, you will leverage your project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute API-related projects from inception to completionWork closely with vendors (brand partners) to integrate their systems with our systemGather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure smooth integration and onboarding processesSupport and address any integration-related issuesError Handling and ReconciliationAbility to handle and resolve payment-related errors, including issues with transaction processing, refunds, chargebacks, and reconciliationImplement appropriate error-handling mechanisms and ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation processesRequirements5+ years of experience managing and maintaining APIs and RESTful APIsProven track record of managing web servicesExperience with Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and other e-commerce back-end interfaces is strongly preferredFamiliarity of API integration with payment gateways i.e., experience integrating APIs with payment gateways, such as PayPal, Stripe, Braintree, or other popular payment service providersUnderstanding the necessary steps and considerations involved in securely handling payment transactions through APIsIn-depth knowledge of web technologies, including HTTP, XML/JSON, web security, authentication/authorization protocolsGood understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databasesExperience in partnering with front-end developers and designers on collaborating on development of backend services in support of themExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyProficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, etc.)Strong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's in Computer Science or related field or related experienceTo apply, please submit the application form along with your resume and cover letter.
