AM Prep/Line Cook

Overview We are looking for a part time team member to join our team to help with weekly prep and then jump on the line for weekend brunch. There can be possibilities for more hours based on business especially with our catering events. Duties Prepare and assemble menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and food handling techniques. Cook dishes efficiently on the line, maintaining proper timing and presentation to meet service demands. Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper storage, sanitation, and handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including prep stations, cooking equipment, and storage spaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow and excellent food service experiences for all guests. Experience Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred. Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs and meal accommodations. Strong culinary background with knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and catering operations. Proficiency in using kitchen tools such as knives with skill and precision; familiarity with meal preparation processes is essential. Hands-on experience with menu planning, food handling, cooking methods, and serving in fast-paced environments. Excellent understanding of food industry best practices related to sanitation, safety, and quality control. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation.
