Architectural Designer
D’Asign Source is seeking a motivated architect with 1-5 years of professional experience to join our design team in the Florida Keys. We are looking for someone who thinks critically, approaches work with tenacity and consistency, and can develop work in a group or independently. The ideal candidate will support project architects and senior designers in developing design concepts, preparing architectural drawings, and coordinating with consultants throughout all phases of a project.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the development of architectural design concepts from schematic design through construction documentationPrepare and revise architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details using Revit (BIM)Develop 3D models and design visualizations for presentations and client reviewsSupport the production of permit and construction drawing setsCoordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants under the direction of senior staffConduct site analysis, zoning/code research, and basic feasibility studiesParticipate in internal design reviews and client meetings as requiredRespond to redlines and incorporate feedback efficiently and accuratelyMaintain organized project files and documentationADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Main work to be in-office with occasional travel to government offices and project sites to communicate with project teams, officials, and regulatory bodiesAble to conduct field walk-throughs with internal or external partners, as necessaryOccasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCADBasic rendering skills using tools such as Enscape, D5 Render, VerasWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Office 365 applications (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Planner, Project)Required to be proactive with the ability to work independently.Knowledge of construction processes, workflow and timelinesDemonstrates integrity, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.Possesses strong organizational skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in ArchitectureStrong understanding of architectural design principles and construction documentation1-5 years of professional experience in an architectural firm or design-build company (preferred)Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes (preferred)PHYSICAL DEMANDSEssential functions require sitting, using hands and fingers, communicating, listening, standing, stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and having close vision with focus adjustment.
