Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to support manufacturing and engineering teams in resolving build and quality issues within an engine assembly environment. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and active participation in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a liaison between manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve production and build issuesPerform hands-on troubleshooting on engine assemblies and identify root causesAnalyze problems, document findings, and escalate when necessarySupport New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) activitiesInterpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and design documentsParticipate in quality checks and delivery auditsInitiate and support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, suppliers, and engineering groupsSpend significant time on the shop floor supporting assembly operationsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, or production supportStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering prints and schematicsTop SkillsElectrical design knowledgeElectrical troubleshootingSelf-starter with strong ownership mindsetPreferred SkillsExperience with engine systems (diesel or gas engines)Familiarity with Creo and TeamcenterExposure to manufacturing or assembly environmentsSoft SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional and diverse teamsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesWork Environment100% onsite role with frequent interaction on the factory/assembly floorHands-on involvement in engine build and troubleshooting activitiesOpportunity to work on new product development and improvement projects
