Direct Support Professional (DSP) Weekend Shifts
This position is specifically hiring for weekend shifts. We are hiring for the following shift
Friday 4p until 8a on Monday. GBC is offering weekend 48 hour positions or individual weekend 8 hour shifts.

In this position you will be required to assist clients with daily tasks to include personal care, shopping, transport clients to attend activities and appointments, update logs, write reports, and more. If you have what it takes to enhance our client’s lives then we most certainly want to talk to you. You must own a vehicle, have an active driver's license and maintain active car insurance for this position.
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, ensuring their well-being and promoting independence in their daily lives. You will work closely with clients in a home or community setting, assisting them with personal care, daily activities, and implementing care plans tailored to their specific requirements.

Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Monitor patients' health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
Support clients in engaging in community activities and social interactions.
Implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
Provide assistance with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.
Document client progress and any incidents accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs for clients as required.

Skills
Experience in home community care or long-term care settings is preferred.
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and memory care strategies is beneficial.
Familiarity with dementia care practices and CPR certification is a plus.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
A clean background check is required for this position.
