Plumber (Journeyman)
Job Title: Journeyman Plumber Company: KHI Mechanical Website: KHI Mechanical Location: Greater Salt Lake Area – In PersonJob Description: KHI Mechanical is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Plumber to join our growing commercial construction team. This position works on a variety of commercial and industrial projects throughout the greater Salt Lake area, supporting plumbing installations, system layouts, equipment setting, and project completion in coordination with field leadership and other trades.The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-focused, able to work independently, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining strong communication with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, and customers.Key Responsibilities:Install, assemble, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems and components.Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and jobsite plans.Install piping systems, fixtures, valves, drains, water lines, and plumbing equipment according to code and project specifications.Perform underground, rough-in, top-out, and finish plumbing work.Coordinate work with foremen, project managers, general contractors, and other trades onsite.Troubleshoot plumbing system issues and identify effective solutions in the field.Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment safely and properly.Maintain clean and organized work areas and company equipment.Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.Assist with mentoring apprentices and less experienced team members when needed.Qualifications:Current Utah Journeyman Plumbing License required.Commercial plumbing experience preferred.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Strong understanding of plumbing codes and installation standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical jobsite duties in varying weather conditions.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with large commercial or industrial projects.Experience operating lifts or jobsite equipment.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.Med gas, welding, or specialty piping experience is a plus.Job Type:Full-timePay:$40 - $50 per hour DOEOvertime opportunities availableBenefits and retirement options available (if applicable)
