Fitness Manager - Valley Wide
Job Description
MOUNTAINSIDE FITNESS Now Hiring: Fitness Manager Lead a team. Build a department. Change lives every day. About the Role Mountainside Fitness is looking for a driven, people-first Fitness Manager to lead the personal training department at one of our Arizona clubs. You'll oversee a team of trainers, drive sales of personal training packages, and create an environment where both staff and members thrive. This is a hands-on leadership role: part coach, part closer, part operator. If you've trained clients, hit your numbers, and you're ready to lead others to do the same — we want to talk. What You'll Do Lead, schedule, and develop a team of personal trainers — coaching them on craft, sales, and client retention. Own department sales: hit monthly production goals on personal training and related packages. Run consultations, place clients with the right trainer, and manage resigns and upgrades. Hire, train, review, and coach trainers in partnership with the VP of Personal Training. Keep clients close — build rapport, follow up, and resolve concerns calmly and professionally. Manage the day-to-day operations of the department: billing, reporting, scheduling, and admin. Train clients yourself when needed — you stay sharp on the floor. What We're Looking For 18 or older with a current nationally accredited personal training certification, or a bachelor's degree in an exercise-related field. Current CPR certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire). Prior management experience — you've led a team and you're comfortable doing it. Proven ability to sell personal training packages and meet production goals. Strong communicator who can motivate trainers, win over members, and handle conflict with poise. Solid working knowledge of exercise equipment and programming — you can demo, teach, and train. Comfortable with Windows, Word, Outlook, and standard business software. What You'll Get A leadership seat at one of Arizona's largest and most respected fitness brands. Clear sales goals, real ownership, and a direct line to the VP of Personal Training. Career growth — we promote from within and invest in our managers. A culture built around results, accountability, and showing up for members and teammates. Schedule & Coverage Full-time. You'll work a set schedule and be willing to cover other Fitness Manager shifts at your home club, and occasionally at other clubs in the network. Breaks are paid attention to — 1 hour max, between scheduled times, and clocked out. Ready to lead?
