The Shawnee, OK facility is Center of Excellence for the machining and assembly of hydraulic motors and hydraulic motor components, used to power both agricultural and construction equipment. Located only thirty minutes from downtown Oklahoma City's famous Bricktown area and forty minutes from Will Rogers' World Airport, Shawnee, OK boasts small town charm with convenient access to metropolitan attractions (Shopping, world class restaurants, professional basketball, theater, concerts and casinos). Additionally, Shawnee is centrally located (approximately an hour's drive) to both Oklahoma State University and University of Oklahoma. The primary function of this position is leading, facilitating and coordinating the production activities and resources per established practices and/or policies within their job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations while keeping safety first. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum 1 year supervisory experience. Essential Functions include: proactively implementing, promoting and maintaining a safe working environment; coordinating, leveraging and appropriately utilizing resources with other managers or coaches to resolve manufacturing problems, improve processes and meet external and internal customer demands; driving the company's vision and mission by reinforcing ethics, values, and quality policies throughout their area of responsibility; acting as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements; promoting a quality culture by demonstrating customer focus and regularly communicating customer feedback to employees in order to facilitate collaborative problem solving, drive continuous quality improvement and ensure alignment/compliance with industry standards; actively participating in setting, communicating and achieving department goals and objectives and developing and maintaining performance metrics as required to monitor results and use those results as a tool to identify and initiate process improvements within own work area; coordinating and/or participating in continuous improvement teams in own or other areas to enhance plant results; acting to positively communicate the policies, practices, changes and decisions of management while fairly and consistently applying policies and practices to all employees; motivating and coaching employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results; demonstrating an appreciation for similarities and individual differences and supporting a culture of inclusion that leverages the potential of all employees.Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Minimum Requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum 1 year of supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications include experience with lean manufacturing in a production/manufacturing/operations environment, two years of supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing/operations environment, and demonstrated technical understanding of production planning techniques, current quality methods, OSHA requirements and accounting principles.
