PROJECT MANAGER

Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Charlotte, NC office. The Project Manager will support and deliver information technology initiatives that enable our attorneys and professional staff to do their best work. This role partners closely with the Business Process Improvement Manager, IT leadership, practice groups, administrative departments, and external vendors to ensure technology projects are executed effectively and aligned with firm priorities.The Project Manager applies structured project management practices to software implementations, system enhancements, and process-driven initiatives across the firm.What You'll Do:Project Planning & DeliveryAssist in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects from initiation through completionDevelop and maintain project plans, timelines, task lists, risk logs, and status reportsMonitor progress to ensure delivery meets scope, objectives, and success criteriaIdentify, track, and help resolve project risks, issues, and dependenciesBusiness & Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with attorneys, practice groups, administrative teams, and IT staff to gather requirements and define project goalsServe as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendorsFacilitate project meetings, working sessions, and status updatesSupport change adoption by ensuring stakeholders are informed and preparedTechnology & Change ManagementSupport requirements analysis and solution design for technology and process initiativesCoordinate with IT teams on system implementations, upgrades, and enhancementsAssist with IT change management activities, governance, and security alignmentParticipate in testing, QA, and validation of project deliverablesVendor & Resource CoordinationCoordinate with external vendors and consultants to support project executionTrack vendor timelines, milestones, and deliverablesHelp coordinate internal IT resources across functional teamsProcess ImprovementApply standard project management methodologies, tools, and templatesIdentify opportunities to improve project delivery, documentation, and communicationParticipate in lessons-learned and continuous improvement initiativesSupport special projects and ad hoc technology or process initiativesWhat We're Looking For:RequiredBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience3-5+ years of experience managing IT projects in a professional services or similarly complex environmentStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferredExperience working in a law firm or legal services environmentBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related fieldProject management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)Physical Requirements:The work is primarily sedentary.It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.May need to occasionally work more than the standard 40 hours per week to accomplish essential duties of the position.
