Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in brushless DC (BLDC) motors and motor controller design for a variety of drop in applications in Brooksville, FL. This role will focus on schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, and microcontroller integration, with an emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and manufacturability. Experience in medical device electronics, battery management systems, and ISO 13485 environments is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical schematics and PCB layouts for BLDC motor controllers and embedded systems Select and validate electronic components, including power electronics, sensors, and microcontrollers Design and support PCBA development, including layout reviews and collaboration with PCB designers Develop and integrate motor control systems for BLDC, slotless, and sensored motors Support design and implementation of battery management systems (BMS) for medical device applications Collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams to ensure seamless system integration Perform testing, debugging, and validation of electrical systems and PCBs Support design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant regulatory standards Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 3+ years of experience in electrical design for motor control or embedded systems Experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection Strong understanding of BLDC motor control systems Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded hardware Familiarity with power electronics and motor drive circuits Company is in high growth mode and relocation candidates are encouraged to apply!
