Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine in Fayetteville, North Carolina, invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education.Reporting directly to the Dean, the Vice Dean will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of undergraduate medical education, fostering academic excellence, and aligning clinical and educational missions. MU CFVH School of Medicine is a candidate school with the LCME, having completed a site visit for preliminary accreditation in May 2025.Key Areas of Responsibility:Oversight of LCME-accredited UME programs, curriculum innovation, and assessmentIntegration of clinical operations and educational initiatives across the academic health systemFaculty development, mentoring, and promotion of scholarly activityLiaison with accreditation bodies and leadership of continuous quality improvement in educationCollaboration with senior leadership on GME program growth, interprofessional education, and strategic planningMinimum Qualifications:MD (or equivalent) with Board CertificationEligible for medical licensure in North CarolinaAt least 10 years of progressive leadership in academic medicine (Associate Dean, Department Chair, or similar)Demonstrated experience with LCME processes and accreditation standardsPreferred Qualifications:A strong record of faculty development, curriculum oversight, and academic leadershipProven ability to build and sustain academic-clinical partnershipsMethodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine has retained The Medicus Firm Executive Search to assist with this important recruitment.Application and Nominations:Please submit a CV and letter of interest or direct inquiries to:Darci AdamsSenior Search Consultant The Medicus Firmdadams@themedicusfirm.com cell - 303-517-9437All inquiries and applications will be handled with strict confidentiality.
