Terms of EmploymentContract, 12 Months This position is remote.Candidates based in a commutable distance to Reston, VA or Washington, DC are preferred, but not required.On-call hours will be required. OverviewOur client is seeking a DevOps Systems Administrator responsible for overseeing the full life cycle management of multiple DevSecOps tools. This includes collaborating with architects, principal and lead engineers, and cross-functional teams to design and implement tasks. Key responsibilities involve planning and building roadmaps for DevOps tools such as Artifactory, SonarQube, Cloudbees CI, and Bitbucket, as well as upgrading, patching, and migrating these tools. The role demands a strong focus on meeting project milestones, documenting system designs, and automating manual processes to ensure efficiency and scalability across the DevOps ecosystemResponsibilities (Day-to-Day):Maintain operations of the DevOps tools within a team.Maintain Cloudbees Servers and AgentsMaintain ArtifactoryMaintain SonarQubeMaintain BitbucketMonitor Data Dog Alerts and respond as per SOP and run booksUpgrade the tools on a regular cadence.Add Change control tickets and attend change control meetings.Administer LinuxAdminister WindowsAdminister AWS console where Cloudbees Agent exists on the EC2 instance.Required Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a systems administrator in Linux.Strong Python and shell scripting experienceFamiliarity with administering and demonstrated experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Cloudbees within the past five (5) years. In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and related toolsWide breadth knowledge of development and testing best DevSecOps practices.Working knowledge of Data Dog.Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence. Ability to apply engineering principles to improve resiliency, performance, efficiency and scalability of the DevSecOps ecosystem. Eagerness to find opportunities and build automation to reduce team’s interdependency. Excellent documentation skills. Self-starter and quick learner. Preferred Skills & ExperienceLinux certification.Windows Administrator certification.Experience administering Windows environments (nice to have)Experience with Sonar, Artifactory, and CloudNative Practices
