Senior Program Manager / Integrated Master Scheduler in Austin, TXDeep-Tech Defense Startup | Advanced Hardware SystemsEdison is partnering with a seed-stage defense tech startup developing next-generation technologies across high-energy laser systems and advanced hardware platforms.Backed by a strong leadership team and operating across multiple sites in Texas and California, the company is scaling rapidly and looking for a Senior Program Manager / Integrated Master Scheduler to help build the execution framework that will support multiple concurrent technology and product programs.This is a unique opportunity to join early, take significant ownership, and play a key role in shaping how a cutting-edge defense technology company plans, executes, and scales.The RoleAs Senior Program Manager / Integrated Master Scheduler, you will work directly under the C-Suite alongside the technical leadership team to create visibility across multiple product streams, connecting engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, test, and operations.You will be responsible for:• Building and maintaining integrated program schedules across multiple hardware technology programs• Creating consistent program plans, milestones, timelines, and reporting structures across technical teams• Managing dependencies, critical paths, schedule risks, and resource constraints• Partnering with engineering and product leaders to keep plans accurate and execution-focused• Identifying downstream impacts from supplier delays, material constraints, or technical changes• Developing dashboards, visualizations, and executive reporting for weekly, monthly, and board-level updates• Supporting the COO and leadership team with clear insight into program health, risks, and opportunitiesRequired Experience• Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) / Integrated Master Plans (IMP)• Senior Program Management or Program Controls within complex hardware environments• Cross-functional coordination across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations• New Product Introduction (NPI), prototype development, qualification, and production readiness• Critical path analysis, dependency management, and schedule risk mitigation• Building structure and processes within fast-moving environmentsTools & SystemsExperience with program planning and reporting tools such as:• OpenProject (must have)• Primavera P6• Smartsheet• Jira / Azure DevOps• ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Deltek, or similar)• Excel-based reporting, Power BI, Tableau, dashboards, APIs, or automation toolsIdeal Backgrounds• Defense & Aerospace• Semiconductor• Photonics / Optical Systems• Robotics• Space Technology• Advanced Manufacturing• Complex Hardware Product DevelopmentThis is not a traditional project tracking role - the successful cadnidate is someone who can build the planning infrastructure, connect teams, analyze execution risks, and help leadership make informed decisions as the company scales.If you have experience driving complex hardware programs and want to join a company working on genuinely cutting-edge technology, please apply!Please note: This role is subject to U.S. export control regulations and requires U.S. Citizenship.
