Network Architect - 100% onsite

As a Senior Network Architect, you will design, develop and maintain secure networks for our clients. You will be responsible for conceptualizing network architecture, identifying business requirements, creating designs and prototypes, and executing testing and training activities. Additionally, you will establish overall network standards, guidelines, leadingedge practices, and approved network techniques and approaches. You will act as a thought leader for the organization s network vision and goals as well as assist leadership with the tactical and strategic direction of the division/organization.ResponsibilitiesDevelop recommendations that involve engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis, installation, fielding and field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of customers communication systems and network hardware and software.Support the local, regional and wide area networks (WANs), and clients communication systems and networks including voice, video, data, and imagery informationReview and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of current/modern WAN/MAN/LAN technologies. Recommend best practices such as Software Defined Network (SDN), Intent-based networking, and network segmentation protocols, etc., to improve the existing architecture and meet new networking requirementsDesign telecommunications circuit specifications.Identity the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise services.Deliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning network configurations.Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts.QualificationsPreferred Bachelor s or Master s degree in computer science, information technology, or other related field or equivalent experience requiredPreferred CCNP And/or CCIE CertificationPreferred 10+ years of Cisco experience with other Network Platforms Juniper, Netgear and Fortinet a plusExtensive experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Service Routers (ASRs) and Integrated Service Routers (ISRs)Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of routing protocols and technologies including BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, and GREDemonstrated in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 technologies including STP, MST, and VLANSDemonstrated experience in overseeing and troubleshooting complex LAN issues and resolving WAN problems and implementing, integrating, and supporting cost-effective, high-performance IP and LAN/WAN solutionsExperience with network design and traffic engineeringPreferred knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud solutions; also experience with working with SDNsExperience with providing senior-level engineering support and subject matter expertiseExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organizationPossess a capacity and passion for cross-functional learning, experimentation, and innovationCustomer service focused and ability to work effectively within multiple levels of the organizationHigh sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and changing prioritiesReceptiveness to performance feedback within a team environment is essentialWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including 100% employer paid medical/dental premiums for single coverage, 401(k) matching, PTO, company provided life insurance and disability, onsite gym and group fitness classes, paid covered parking, daily allowance for onsite caf and Starbucks, and more!
