Open Date 5/1/2026 Location L'Anse DescriptionJob Title:Co-op Student AssistantDepartment:Various, Retail BankingReports To:Teller Supervisor/Branch ManagerLast Updated:7.19.2021Supervises:NoneSummary:Provide basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with financial institution procedures and perform other duties as assigned and/or necessaryMAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer recordsCash checks and process withdrawals after verification of signatures and balancesReceive, verify, and enter loan and other paymentsCount, check, package, and order coins and currencyBalance cash drawer at the end of the shift/dayBalance and audit the vault/cash dispenserEnsure that the teller station is properly stocked, cleaned, and generally maintainedCheck night depository bags and record proper information on the financial institution's formsScan and/or check-in account and customer information paperworkLearn and serve as a fill-in for other departments and positionsUnderstand and follow bank/department regulations, policies, and procedures, and participate in all compliance-related trainingEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Student status at a high school or collegeSuccessful completion of in-house training programExperience with Microsoft Office productsStrong in-person and phone communication skillsProduct knowledge of online banking toolsPhysical & Mental Demands:Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach with hands or arms, occasionally move up to 25 pounds, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controlsTalk, hear, write, read, type, understand technical manuals, manipulate numbers, and communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and via letter/e-mailEffectively organize, prioritize, and complete work assignments, and deal with frequent and/or multiple interruptionsLearn duties/tasks in a reasonable amount of timePerceive clearly at both close and long range, and possess adequate peripheral vision, depth perception, color distinction, and focusing abilityFull-Time/Part-Time Part-Time Number of Openings 1 Shift Various Shifts Req Number RET-26-00002 Category Retail Banking Hours per weekThis position is currently accepting applications.Apply Now
