Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg (Level 1) Facility: Finger Lakes Health - Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital (SSMH) Unit: Acute Care - Medical/SurgicalAssignment Information Position Type: Travel / Contract Duration: Typically 13 Weeks (standard unless specified otherwise) Shift: Day/Night Rotation (D/N) Schedule: Variable (based on unit needs) Hours: Part-Time Position Overview Finger Lakes Health is seeking a Med/Surg RN (Level 1) to provide direct patient care in an acute care hospital setting . The RN will manage a diverse patient population with general medical conditions and post-surgical needs.Key Responsibilities Deliver direct bedside nursing care to Med/Surg patients Monitor and assess patient conditions, vitals, and symptoms Administer medications and treatments as ordered Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate EMR documentation Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge plans Required Qualifications Active RN License (NY State) BLS Certification (AHA) 1-2+ years of Med/Surg acute care experience Ability to work rotating Day/Night shifts Preferred Qualifications Travel nursing experience Experience in: Acute care hospital settings Higher patient acuity environments Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic preferred) Work Environment Acute care hospital Med/Surg patient population Fast-paced, team-oriented setting Requires flexibility with rotating shifts (Day/Night) Ideal Candidate Profile Strong Med/Surg RN with acute care experience Flexible and adaptable to rotating shifts Efficient with patient load and documentation Team-oriented with strong communication skills Diverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
