Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Practice Administrator to lead operations for a dynamic, multi-site, multi-specialty medical group. Operating at the Chief Operating Officer (COO) level, this role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, provider efficiency, and revenue growth strategies across all practice locations.
This is a hands-on leadership position, not just a management role. The ideal candidate thrives in complex healthcare environments, brings strong executive-level experience, and enjoys being directly involved in daily operations while maintaining a strategic focus on growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple practice locations.
Lead senior personnel responsible for revenue cycle management, credentialing, quality assurance, compliance, and risk programs.
Ensure workflows are efficient, standardized, and consistently followed across all sites.
Collaborate with medical directors, providers, and site leaders to maintain high-quality patient care delivery.
Develop and enforce practice-wide policies, procedures, and performance benchmarks.
Partner with ownership and executive leadership to design and execute long-term strategic growth plans.
Drive service line expansion, new market development, and operational optimization initiatives.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, working closely with finance and billing teams.
Negotiate contracts with vendors, payers, and service providers to optimize financial outcomes.
Lead physician, provider, and staff recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management.
Oversee HR practices, including employee development, performance reviews, and culture-building.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, state licensure).
Monitor practice performance using analytics tools and dashboards to inform decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business (MBA), or related field preferred.
Significant leadership experience in a multi-location, multi-specialty medical practice (ENT or surgical subspecialty preferred).
Proven track record in practice management, financial performance improvement, and operational leadership.
Expertise in healthcare compliance, revenue cycle management, and operational analytics.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to travel regionally between clinic sites as needed.
