Teacher for Infants and/or Toddlers

Key Qualifications: Required: Child Development Teacher Permit & 6 Infant/Toddler units (complete within first year if not already done). Preferred: AA or BA in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Experience: 2 years working with infants and toddlers in a center-based program. Language: (English/Spanish) preferred. Role Overview: As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you’ll be instrumental in nurturing the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of our youngest learners. Guided by the Site Supervisor, you’ll create a safe and engaging environment where children can thrive. What You’ll Do: Develop individualized goals, perform screenings, and create assessments. Foster strong, cooperative relationships with children and families. Promote parent-child bonding through engaging activities like talking, singing, and reading. Ensure compliance with Title 22 and Title 5 regulations. Plan and implement daily activities to stimulate development. Conduct parent/teacher conferences and home visits. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality. Collaborate with fellow teachers, the center director, and volunteers. Maintain performance under pressure and manage stress effectively. Completion of a pre-employment physical, TB test, and background check is required. Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday Hours will vary, with some days beginning as early as 6:30 AM and other days starting at 8 AM. Some days may even start later than 8 AM, Monday through Friday. These hours are to ensure we have the proper coverage and always meet the required ratios.  You may be required to work some weekends (Saturdays) and evenings when/as needed, to attend training courses or to support parent meetings. While we can accommodate your current preferred work hours, please be aware that these hours are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify your schedule in response to business needs.
