Senior Project Architect ( Must be a Licensed Architect in California)Location: Los Angeles, CA Employment Type: Full-time Work Model: Remote About the OpportunityAn established architecture and design firm with projects across North America is seeking a Senior Project Architect to join its growing Los Angeles team. The firm specializes in workplace, commercial, and industrial projects and is recognized for delivering high-quality, technically sophisticated design solutions within a collaborative and team-oriented environment.This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the design and technical execution of complex architectural projects while mentoring and supporting developing team members.Reporting to senior leadership, the Senior Project Architect will oversee the design and technical coordination of projects of varying scale and complexity. The role combines project leadership, technical expertise, interdisciplinary coordination, and mentorship responsibilities.The successful candidate will contribute to project delivery from conceptual design through construction administration while helping improve internal standards, processes, and technical quality.Key Responsibilities•Develop architectural concepts while ensuring technical accuracy, design intent, and overall quality•Lead technical coordination and project development throughout all project phases•Prepare and oversee production of drawings, detailing packages, and technical specifications•Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, local authority requirements, and project standards•Coordinate consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to maintain project alignment and schedules•Identify technical, design, and coordination risks and implement practical solutions•Mentor and support junior and intermediate architectural staff•Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings as a technical lead•Contribute to the ongoing development of internal standards, BIM workflows, and best practicesEducation & Licensure•Professional degree in Architecture (Master’s degree or equivalent preferred)•Licensed Architect in California or eligible for California licensure through another U.S. jurisdictionExperience•8–10+ years of architectural experience, including work on complex projects•Experience in a senior technical or project leadership role•Strong understanding of U.S. construction and regulatory environments•California project experience considered a strong assetTechnical Skills•Advanced proficiency with Revit and BIM project delivery•Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and technical standards, including seismic design considerations•Ability to manage technically demanding projects and anticipate coordination challengesCore Competencies•Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities•Excellent organization and multitasking skills•Professional communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams•Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail•Collaborative approach and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
