Project Coordinator (Inventory/Safety) - 2 Year Contract
Insight Global is seeking a Project Coordinator to support two ongoing initiatives within utility operations: an inventory management program and a safety program support function. This is an entry‑level to early‑career role focused on coordination, data management, and administrative ownership rather than hands‑on field or safety work. The role will work closely with operations and project stakeholders to improve data accuracy, organization, and reporting.This position is ideal for someone with 2+ years of coordination or administrative project experience who is comfortable working in Excel, managing structured data, and supporting cross‑functional teams. Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management Project SupportSupport a multi‑phase inventory management initiative for a large equipment and parts storage facilityDevelop an inventory cataloging framework in Excel, including naming conventions, data fields, and tracking structureWork alongside operations and facilities teams to catalog tools, equipment, and parts in the physical storage locationEnter, validate, and maintain inventory data to ensure completeness and accuracySupport future analysis to identify obsolete, underutilized, or phase‑out‑ready equipment and materialsAssist with documentation and planning related to long‑term obsolescence or lifecycle management strategiesSafety Program Administrative SupportProvide backend administrative support for an internal safety initiativeOwn and maintain the SharePoint site that supports the safety program, including document organization and permissionsTrack updates, inputs, and status information related to safety initiativesSupport dashboarding, reporting, and data organization efforts tied to the safety programPartner with internal stakeholders to ensure data is up to date, consistent, and easy to accessThis role is not responsible for direct safety work or field‑based safety activitiesGeneral Project CoordinationTrack project tasks, timelines, and deliverables across both initiativesSupport meeting coordination, notes, and follow‑up actions as neededMaintain organized project documentation and reference materialsCommunicate status updates to project leads and stakeholdersPerform additional coordination and administrative tasks as assigned Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree2+ years of experience in project or program coordinationExperience with data management or data entryProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and OutlookNice to Have Skills and ExperienceExperience in the energy, utilities, or clean transportation sectorSmartsheet experiencePower BI experienceExperience with operations, inventory, or materials management Role NotesThis team works on-site 4 days/week and typically starts between 6:00 - 7:00am Monday - Thursday. This person needs to be comfortable with these parameters.
