Job Summary
Gateway Fiber is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused leader to serve as Vice President, Marketing. This role will create go-to-market strategies, align closely with Sales, Product, Network Operations, and Customer Experience, and help scale the company into a leading regional or national telecommunications provider.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Leadership & Integration
Define and execute a results-driven marketing strategy aligned with PE-backed growth, margin, and expansion objectives.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on market positioning, customer trends, and growth opportunities across fiber, broadband, wireless, and managed services.
Build, lead, and scale a high-performing, metrics-driven marketing organization.
Own the marketing budget, forecasting, and performance with a focus on ROI, CAC, and payback.
Brand, Marketing and Demand
Own and scale a differentiated brand strategy and positioning across Residential/FTTH, MDU, Commercial, and Enterprise segments, establishing the company as a leader in residential and commercial services.
Execute integrated communications across all customer touchpoints, including external communications, PR, and thought leadership tied to network expansion, fiber builds, and service reliability.
Drive customer acquisition through integrated digital, performance, field, partner, grassroots, and direct marketing programs.
Lead digital and performance marketing initiatives, including e-commerce, search, display, social media, marketing automation, ABM, and attribution to clearly connect marketing activity to pipeline, revenue, churn, and LTV.
Product & Go-to-Market Marketing
Lead go-to-market execution for new market launches, network expansions, pricing and packaging changes, and product introductions.
Partner with Product, Network, and Sales teams to translate technical capabilities into clear, differentiated customer value propositions.
Own competitive intelligence, win/loss insights, and sales enablement materials.
Customer Lifecycle & Insights
Drive lifecycle marketing strategies focused on onboarding, retention, upsell, cross-sell, and churn reduction.
Leverage customer insights, NPS, and market intelligence to guide prioritization, investment decisions, and market expansion.
Ensure strong cross-functional alignment from product development through customer acquisition and customer experience.
Leadership & Team Development
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing marketing organization with clear development plans and accountability.
Assess team capabilities and organizational structure to address talent gaps and improve execution.
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure alignment with business objectives and go-to-market strategies.
Required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
Direct experience in telecommunications, fiber, broadband, wireless, or managed services industries.
Proven success driving growth in competitive, infrastructure-based markets.
Strong financial and analytical acumen, with experience managing CAC, LTV, ROI, and marketing efficiency metrics.
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree.
Experience in a private equity–backed, high-growth, or post-merger integration environment.
Experience supporting both B2C (residential broadband/wireless) and B2B (enterprise, managed services, government) models.
