Class 2 IntegrationHot JobDuffield - Duffield, VA 24244OverviewPosition Type Full TimeDescriptionResponsible for the installation, alteration and repair for electrical grounding systems, equipment, and fixtures according to VFP standards.Essential Job Functions:Interpret engineering drawings for various special grounding conditions as defined by the customer requirements from these drawingsRemain familiar with all grounding procedures and standards as applied to VFP on requirementsOperate according to all operating and safety procedures, all equipment used in the department to include power saws, power cutters, overhead cranes, and hand and air toolsMust have the ability to climb laddersMaintain good housekeeping practices to include keeping the work area clean and neat and making sure the aisles are clear of equipment, cords, tow motors, etc.Prepare daily production sheets using accurate job numbers and production codesCross-train with other jobs in the department and assist Grounder A when neededInstall lighting fixturesMust have the ability to use basic hand and air toolsOther duties as assignedQualificationsAbility to communicate verbally and in written formAbility to perform basic mathematical formulasAbility to understand and follow simple one to two-step instructions given verbally or writtenKnowledge of the occupational hazards of the electrical trade and necessary safety precautionsSkill in the use and care of tools and equipment
