Job Description At Bulkmatic you are more than just a truck driver. You'll operate pneumatic equipment, manage relationships with customers and be empowered to make the right decisions for your deliveries - All while being part of a team that leads in the dry bulk shipping industry.Home Time:In the Northwest Indiana/Chicago area our drivers do a combination of local and regional work. The current drivers average 1 night on the road every other week. Bulkmatic provides hotel rooms for all overnight stays.Pay:Drivers currently average between $90,000- $100,000 per year. Top drivers at this location earn over $115,000 per year! We are currently offering a $5,000 bonus to driver hires in the Chicago Area.Ask our recruiters about the Weekly Pay Incentive program that allows Drivers to earn extra cash each week!About the Job:Being a driver for Bulkmatic is a more physical job than driving for many other companies. Two-thirds of your time will be driving. The rest of the time will be loading, unloading using the pneumatic systems and interacting with customers. We have extensive training on our safety procedures and the pneumatic equipment. Job RequirementsBe at least 23 years old to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle interstateMust possess a valid Class A CDL with at least 1-year Tractor Trailer driving experience.Driving Experience should be within the past 10 years; within the past 5 years is preferred.Military driving experience will be considered.Be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, andto make entries on reports and recordsBe physically and mentally qualified to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid medical certificate as defined by the FMCSAMust not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the rules and regulations set forth by the FMCSAMeet all the requirements and be able to perform all of the tasks and essential duties of the job descriptionYou must have a valid CDL Class A license in the State that you reside in or in cases of recent relocation the ability to change license within 30 days.Hazmatendorsement required at certain locations.
