Location: Lynchburg, VAJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentSchedule: 40 hours per weekJob DescriptionHarco is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse and distribution operations in Lynchburg, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished products. Your work will directly support inventory accuracy, on-time order fulfillment, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in organization and accuracy, and can manage daily priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Shipping & Receiving Clerk supports daily warehouse operations through accurate shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and material movement. Key responsibilities include:Safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklift, reach truck, order selector) after completing required training and certificationReceive, unload, verify, label, and store incoming materials; report any discrepancies or damageAccurately pick, process, and transfer sales, work, and transfer orders using RF scanning equipmentPrepare, pack, and stage orders for outbound shipment, including UPS and LTL freight (with supervision as needed)Load outbound trucks safely and efficiently to meet shipping schedulesMaintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, documentation, and participation in physical inventory countsKeep shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standardsFollow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirementsManage daily workload independently while collaborating effectively with the teamSupport process improvements and assist in other warehouse or operational areas as neededQualifications & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent1-3 years of experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systemsAt least 1 year of experience safely operating powered industrial trucksAbility to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detailAbility to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required in a warehouse settingStrong organizational skills and a positive, team-oriented attitudeCompensation & BenefitsPay Range: 21.71 USD$/HrCompetitive benefits package and other company benefits (details provided during the hiring process)Harco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
