We celebrate being an Employer of Choice committed to providing a recovery friendly and equal opportunity workplace.The Collections Specialist under the director of the Collections Manager, the Collections Specialist will process customer refunds, review account alterations, resolve client inconsistencies, and collect overdue payments. The Collections Specialist will need to have the ability to balance between maintaining trustful relationships and guaranteeing timely payments, possess outstanding communication and negotiation skills, as well as an in-depth knowledge of laws and policies related to debt collection.Responsibilities:Supervise assigned accounts to identify unresolved claimsDevelop effective repayment plansFollow-up with clients on overdue accountsResearch and resolve insurance denialsFile appeals on denied or underpaid claimsCheck claim status on appropriate payor systems and contact insurances as neededSend Medical Records and other documentation to payors as requestedFollow up with patients and payers for paymentsReview of Accounts Receivable Aging reportsMeet daily, monthly and quarterly billing metricsPerform all administrative duties related to ensuring office efficiencyQualifications: 1-3 years of experience in collectionsProficient in Microsoft OfficeHigh school diploma required; secondary education preferredBilling or coding experienceHighly skilled in negotiationOutstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of Commercial Insurance and Government Payor guidelinesUnderstanding of insurance benefits and reimbursementGood Administrative skillsProficient in medical terminology, HIPAA and other critical governmental regulationsMust meet pre-employment and maintain all applicable state, national, and job-related guidelines for reference checking, background screening,10 panel urine drug screening,Health screening, DMV (if applicable), insurance (if applicable), and license/credential verificationsBenefits: Competitive salaryComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401(K)Generous paid time off accrualExcellent growth and development opportunitiesSatisfying and rewarding work striving to overcome the opioid epidemicHere is what you can expect from us:BayMark Health Services is committed to helping people achieve lasting sobriety through comprehensive care and compassionate support.
