Test Engineer III

Responsibilities Participate in radio systems requirements discussions and Engineering Design Reviews to help drive radio systems design and the implementation of test methodologies and guidelines Provide test documentation such as test planning, test incident reports, and test results. Determine resource and equipment needs for systems integration and test; provide labor and schedule estimates for product support; prioritize tasking to support customer schedules Test and evaluate vendor radio systems to be in standard with Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio Systems(SINCGARS) Line Replaceable Units. Evaluation of new designs for proposed test methods and test coverage Participate in radio system installation and configuration; diagnose, analyze, and solve problems discovered during system setup and developmental testing Provide assistance with transitioning lab test scenarios into field test scenarios. Create specific test instrumentation such as data cables and specified microcontroller boards. Work at the customer's site with government personnel to ensure program success All other duties as assigned Qualifications Experienced in working on a federal contract providing support on equipment installation Demonstrated radio systems and test experience Demonstrated experience in writing test plans Briefing ability and able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Preferred Qualifications Experienced as a Network Administrator, Information System Security Manager, and as an EKMS Manager. Military trained in tactical radio. A deep understanding of radio frequencies. Familiar with Army COMSEC. Experience with SINCGARS radios and working with them in a test scenario. Clearance: Must have a current DoD Security Clearance; secret level or higher. Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in one (1) of the following: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline. 4-9 years relevant work experience. A degree can be substituted for 4 years of direct related experience. Location: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
