LaClare Creamery is looking for a part time Bistro Prep Cook to join our fast paced, fun work environment! Our Bistro Prep Cook will assist in our café operations and provide exceptional customer service! This is an hourly position that includes tips!Hours between 10am - 4pm, approximately 15-20 hours per week. Must be able to work weekends and hours may vary depending on events. Our Retail Shop is open Sunday - Saturday with varying hours depending on the season.Key Tasks & ResponsibilitiesPrepares and cooks to order a variety of foods and plates dishes in an attractive way to serve a quality product to our guests.Works under the direct supervision of the Retail ManagerPrepares food for our customers – made to orderPerforms food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, carving meats and cheeses, making soups or salads, preparing breads or desserts, and brewing coffee, tea, or other drinks.Grill, cook, prepare, and garnish foods such as eggs, French toast, roast beef, chicken, soups, salads, and cheese boardsPlans work on orders so that items served together are finished at the same timeClean food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables and ensures the kitchen is cleaned up to high store standardsResponsible for keeping accurate inventory of food itemsAssists in washing dishesRestocks kitchen supplies, rotates food, and stamps the time and date on food in coolersMay take orders from customers and serve patrons at counters or tablesOther duties as assignedSkills & AttributesPerforms physical activities that require considerable amounts of standing, walking, lifting 5 – 25lbs, bending, and squatting while handling materialsFood Production — Knowledge of techniques and equipment for food preparation and cooking including storage/handling techniquesProduction and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goodCustomer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer and personal services.
