We are seeking qualified and beginning machinists to fulfill roles in our machine shop to work on our 1st shift at our ATI South location in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Job Description:
Understand quality and production within company specifications, goals, and objectives.
Comply with all safety and environmental rules and regulations; comply with internal company practices.
Support all 6S and lean initiatives.
Report any issues to the Production Supervisor.
Maintain proper training, tools, and materials to carry out his/her duties.
Set up and manage CNC Machines to perform different jobs
Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company
Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results
Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Have an understanding of how to work with a team.
Must possess basic computer operation skills
Ability to complete basic math and read a tape measure
Some experience in manufacturing
Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Good computer skills
Great attention to detail
Experience with CNC Machining not required but preferred
Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings, such as blueprints is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours
Ability to bend and squat
Ability to work in an environment without a controlled temperature
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
