Qualifications
Ability to obtain and maintain Xenex Lightstrike certification.
Knowledge of buildings and utilities.
Possess necessary skills to supervise others.
Ability to prioritize projects and respond to emergencies.

Ability to analyze situations accurately and to recommend necessary action.

Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements.
Responsibilities
Coordination of preparedness and response efforts of the LEA with state, local, tribal, and territorial public health departments, and other relevant agencies, to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Perform basic vehicle repairs and assists with electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, maintenance, and repairs.
Be on call when emergencies arise.
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance measures.
Strive to create a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm among fellow workers.
Demonstrates a willingness to assist other maintenance and custodial personnel when needed.
Attend regular safety training(s).
Train the custodians for minor maintenance, i.e., replacing light bulbs, preventive maintenance, record keeping, etc.
Train for and use the School Dude work order system to document work.
Assists with the repair of small machines.
Assists with snow removal as needed.
Represents the district professionally in all dealings with the maintenance team and the building custodians.
Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Facilities and Operations.

Flexibility:
o Bending or twisting at the neck is a frequent requirement 85 - 90% of the time.
o Bending or twisting at the trunk is a frequent requirement 85 - 90% of the time.
o Reaching above the head is a frequent requirement 85 - 90% of the time.
o Reaching forward is a frequent requirement 85 - 90% of the time.
o Repeating the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times is a frequent requirement 85 - 90% of the time.
Use Of Arms & Hands:
o Manual dexterity is a frequent requirement 90% of the time.
o Finger dexterity is a frequent requirement 90% of the time.
Lifting 10 - 25 Pounds: o Lifting 10 - 25 pounds is a frequent requirement 90% of the time.
o Lifting above the shoulders is a frequent requirement 90% of the time.
o Lifting above the waist is a frequent requirement 90% of the time.
o Lifting above the knees is a frequent requirement 90% of the time.
Lifting 26 - 50 Pounds: o Lifting 26 - 50 pounds is a frequent requirement up to 50% of the time.

o Lifting items above the knees is a frequent requirement.
Lifting 50 - 75 Pounds:
o Lifting over 50 pounds is an occasional but essential requirement.
Pushing & Pulling:
o Pushing and pulling 75 pounds an occasional requirement up to 10% of the time.
o Pushing and pulling 50 - 75 pounds is an occasional requirement up to 20% of the time.
o Pushing and pulling 25 - 50 pounds is a frequent requirement up to 60% of the time.
Carrying Tasks:
o Carrying of items that weigh between 25 - 50 pounds is a daily requirement.
Use Of Protective Equipment:
o Protective equipment may be required as necessary for eye, ear, hands, head, feet, and face protection.
o Protective lenses, earplugs/muffs, gloves, hardhat, boots, face shield, etc..
