Segment Controller

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting and finance professional with strong manufacturing finance expertise who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys supporting strategic business decisions.ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day financial activities including inventory accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and cost tracking for the business segmentPrepare and maintain month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit schedulesDevelop and manage annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analyses to support business objectivesMonitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership teams regarding profitability and cost control initiativesManage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow activities, and revenue recognition processesEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and company policiesPrepare tax work papers and support federal and state tax reporting activitiesPartner with operations, engineering, and commercial teams to evaluate project costs and support business decisionsAssist with internal and external audits while maintaining strong financial controlsSupport bids, proposals, and capital projects through financial analysis and modelingIdentify opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and cost reductionsPresent financial results and recommendations to management teams on a regular basisRequired ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required5+ years of Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Manufacturing Finance experience requiredExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis requiredStrong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles requiredExperience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredExperience supporting audits, reconciliations, and financial controls requiredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills requiredAbility to partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams requiredAbility to work onsite within a manufacturing environment required Preferred ExperienceCPA certification preferredMBA or advanced degree preferredExperience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or energy sectors preferredExperience with IFRS 15 and revenue recognition preferredExperience supporting multi-site or business unit financial operations preferredStrong background in cost accounting and inventory accounting preferred BenefitsCompetitive health insurance plansDental insuranceVision insurance401(K) with company matchPaid Time Off and holidaysBonus opportunityProfessional growth opportunities within a global organizationOpportunity to partner closely with operations leadership and drive business performanceSalary: $150K-$165K annuallyAsk for: BrennaJob Id: 26361Ajulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical.
