This position will cover the following areas: OK, TX, TN, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, NC, SC.Key ResponsibilitiesAssists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipmentCompletes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established proceduresDiagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g. multimeter, laptop)Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment; utilizes TCPiP as a troubleshooting/setup toolPerforms preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to safety and quality proceduresTroubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, robotics, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obviousAssists in the development of specific technical and training documentation; assists in the development of a Technical Support Help Desk/Troubleshooting GuideProvides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues; documents all information relating to customer support issues in CMMS and Dashboard database; utilizes resources in other departments (when necessary) to expedite the resolution of conveyor related issuesMaintains inventory of company supplied toolsYOU MUST HAVEHigh School Diploma or GED1+ years of installation, repairing & maintenance of Conveyor Systems AND mechanical/electrical sorters & palletizersBasic computer knowledgeReliable transportation to a major airport (Must be within a One Hour commute of nearest airport)Must be able to travel 85% of the time which may include overnight staysWE VALUEProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLC) experienceExperience working with material handling systemsPrevious industry experiencePrevious technical/installation experiencePrevious customer service experienceGood written and oral communicationAbility to follow instructions and identify mistakesBachelor degree or technical/professional certificateBenefitsWe offer a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible vacation and education assistance.
