Overview
As a Software Develop/Programmer at SubCom, you will design, build, and maintain software and database solutions that optimize manufacturing processes. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Project Management to deliver custom applications and reports in a Windows environment. You’ll follow SDLC best practices, contribute to design reviews, and create technical documentation to support operational readiness. ResponsibilitiesAdhere to SDLC policies across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenanceFollow coding standards, version control, and peer review processes to ensure quality and traceabilityParticipate in design and code reviews aligning with architecture and security guidelinesCreate and maintain design specifications, test cases, and deployment instructionsMeet with process owners to define requirements for new or modified applicationsDevelop with Visual Studio and SQL Server to create custom apps and reportsProvide instruction and training for process owners and end usersProvide support for applications, including potential off-hours when requiredParticipate in daily stand-up meetings to share status and blockersOther duties as assignedFollow safety guidelines and safe work practices
Key requirementsB.S. in Computer Science desiredExperience building custom applications using C# and the .NET FrameworkObject-oriented, modular design knowledge for maintainable codeKnowledge of design patternsKnowledge of relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2019+; familiarity with T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, normalizationStrong written and verbal communicationTeamwork and ability to work independentlyProblem-solving and analytical thinkingC#.NET FrameworkMicrosoft SQL Server
