Paraprofessional (CPA Firm)

About the JobWe are currently looking to hire a part-time paraprofessional to join our audit team in our Rockton, IL office. The ideal applicant will be open to flexing up hours during peak tax season (28 - 32 hours) and reduce their hours to part time status outside of tax season (20-24 hours).Essential Functions:Gain hands-on experience in audit.Learn and grow through on-the-job training and meaningful work engagements.Learn directly from experienced supervisors, managers, and Partners with specialized experience and technical knowledge across numerous industries and services.Work on setup and finalize procedures for audit team engagements.Work on portions of audit team engagements.Prepare engagement correspondence.Support the administrative team in a backup capacity.Become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects.Preferred Qualifications:Broad conceptual judgment and initiative.Highly detail-oriented with ability to focus.Ability to work independently.Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects.Problem-solving skills.Computer literacy, specifically with Word and Excel.Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal.Professional appearance and demeanor.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Valid driver's license required.Education and Experience:High school diploma.Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping.About the Company
