Job DetailsDescriptionSchedule: Full time, 36 hours (3-12 hour shifts) per week, D/E with weekend requirements. Then Thompson is the place for you!Main FunctionProvides quality nursing patient care to Urgent Care patients under the supervision of the providers and Practice ManagementRN must assess, plan, give and document nursing careRN assists the provider with patients, including the preparation of examination rooms, preparation of the patient for the visit, such as taking vital signs and explaining procedures Under the general direction of the provider, RN will administer medications and injection as prescribed, assist with special procedures, including minor proceduresRN is responsible for completion of all results and patient call backs within the scope of practice, following up with patients and the providers as appropriateAssist in development and implementation of clinical nursing policies and procedures, working with appropriate system personnel to assure clinical operations comply with all Joint Commission, NYS DOH requirements and other regulatory agencies as applicable. Qualifications (Licenses, Certifications)Registered Nurse- New York licenseProfessionally mature, energetic and creative individual who demonstrates leadership qualities demanded in a rapidly changing health care environment.Must maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.EducationGraduation from an approved school of nursing, required.Experience2-4 years of recent nursing experience required.Minimum of 2 years family practice, urgent care, acute care, occupational medicine or outpatient care nursing experience.Experience using an EMR preferred.Position Pay Range: $35-46/hourStarting Pay: Based on experienceThompson Health is an EOE encouraging individuals with disabilities and veterans to apply
