Press Operator

Role Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated Press Operator to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. This position offers a starting wage of $19.50 per hour, with shift details to be determined upon further discussion. Core Responsibilities Configure and run manufacturing machinery in alignment with established work orders and operational protocols. Handle the loading, unloading, and staging of all necessary production supplies. Oversee active production cycles to guarantee that all output meets our quality and performance benchmarks. Adjust equipment settings as needed to optimize product quality and overall operational efficiency. Record production metrics, process modifications, and quality check results with precision. Execute standard equipment upkeep, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing filters to ensure machine longevity. Help maintain a safe and orderly workspace by strictly adhering to all facility safety regulations. Communicate any equipment malfunctions, quality discrepancies, or production inconsistencies to management. Comply with all standardized work instructions, quality protocols, and safety mandates. Complete additional tasks as required by the production team. Required Qualifications Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent GED. Proficiency in interpreting work instructions, specification cards, and production documentation. Fundamental mathematical and measurement abilities to verify dimensions and log quality data. Capability to safely manage manufacturing machinery and utilize various hand tools. Physical ability to lift production materials, remain standing for long durations, and thrive in a manufacturing setting. Key Skills Proficiency in press operation and machine setup procedures. Experience in the operation of various production equipment. Competence in conducting quality inspections and identifying product defects. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks. Skilled in taking accurate measurements and handling manual tools.
