Visit www.flytehealth.com to learn more.The Role:We are seeking a licensed physician to join our growing clinical team and help redefine how obesity and cardiometabolic disease are treated through FlyteHealth's integrated, outcomes-driven care model. This role focuses on delivering the right care at the right time through evidence-based treatment that addresses obesity, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and related chronic conditions as interconnected drivers of long-term health outcomes.Physicians at FlyteHealth work within a multidisciplinary, technology-enabled care model that combines personalized treatment plans, behavioral lifestyle modification, and continuous patient engagement to improve outcomes and total cost of care. Providers collaborate closely with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, dietitians, diabetes educators, and health coaches to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.Responsibilities include conducting video-based initial and follow-up visits, evaluating clinical appropriateness for enrollment into FlyteHealth programs, developing individualized care plans, monitoring patient progress, and partnering across the care team to ensure consistent, evidence-based care delivery. This is a fully remote position.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Providing evidence-based, individualized clinical care and a high-quality patient experienceReviewing patient questionnaires, laboratory results, and diagnostic testing to support clinical assessments and counseling on weight management physiology and treatment approachesConducting video-based initial and follow-up patient visits to develop and manage care plansPrescribing anti-obesity therapies, including pharmacotherapy, and educating patients on treatment expectations and side effectsCollaborating with a multidisciplinary care team, including RNs, NPs, and RDs, to evaluate, treat, and monitor patientsManaging patient communications, reviewing labs and diagnostic testing, coordinating referrals, and supporting ongoing follow-up careUtilizing and supporting the FlyteHealth Evolve platform to enhance patient engagement and health outcomesAssisting with onboarding, provider training, clinical workflow development, and practice expansion initiativesPerforming additional responsibilities as needed to support clinical operations and patient careAbout You:Demonstrating compassion, motivation, and commitment to weight management, nutrition, and care for patients with obesity or overweight conditionsExhibiting a passion for improving health outcomes and supporting patients in achieving sustainable lifestyle changeCommunicating effectively through strong written and verbal communication skillsUtilizing technology platforms proficiently, including Microsoft Office, Gmail, videoconferencing tools, VoIP systems, text platforms, and online presentation softwareLeveraging experience with cloud-based EHR systems, with Athena experience preferredLearning and utilizing proprietary web-based platforms to support and document patient interactions in compliance with organizational policies and proceduresMaintaining awareness of emerging trends and evidence related to overweight and obesity careDemonstrating openness, cultural sensitivity, and respect for diverse patient populationsProviding constructive feedback to support continuous quality improvement initiativesUnderstanding service quality standards and performance measurement principlesRequired/Preferred Qualifications:Holding Board Certification or Board Eligibility as an MD or DO in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, with or without subspecializationDemonstrating proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required for clinical care deliveryUtilizing computer-based data management systems, EMR/EHR technologies, and healthcare information systems, with Athena experience preferredMaintaining knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA requirementsCommunicating effectively through strong written and verbal communication skills and a compassionate virtual bedside mannerDemonstrating knowledge of and interest in weight management, obesity medicine, obesity-related comorbidities, and disease preventionBringing fellowship training in Obesity Medicine preferredHolding or pursuing Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) certification preferredMaintaining active MD licensure and DEA registration in the state of employment or applicable compact licensure states - Georgia license is highly recommendedFlyteHealth Benefits:Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance401(k)Discretionary PTO PlanParental leaveFlyteHealth Perks:Flexible working hoursRemote-first CompanyInternet Stipend for remote workingPaid Company HolidaysFlyteHealth values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity for all persons regardless of their race, religion, color, creed, marital status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
