Orthopedics - Trauma Physician

Hi there! This is Jason from ProTouch Medical.We have a client in Central Michigan in search of a Locum Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for ongoing coverage from April - July of 2025.I take care of 1099 competitive pay and malpractice insurance for the assignment.Location: Central MichiganJob Type: Locum-to-Perm / Contract w/ conversionDuration of Assignment: 04/07/2025 - 07/28/2025Shifts: 24-hr call coverage when on service at a Level I trauma centerPractice Details:Reason for Coverage: Provider FMLAPractice Setting: Hospital coverage with ambulatory follow-up as neededIn house while performing surgery and rounding. Generally 8 hours per day. Unrestricted call for time thereafter.Schedule: Two 24 on call hour shifts, with call back hours, and the third day 8 hours on site for cleanup from the two on call shifts. Level I trauma centerCall Schedule: Call coverage when on serviceCall Ratio: 1:4 call rotation for departmentAverage Number of Surgical Cases Per Day HOSPITAL: 3-4Average Number of Patients Per Day OFFICE/CLINIC: n/aDocumentation System/EMR: EPICNumber of Operating Rooms: 20Number of Orthopedic Surgeons in Practice: 14Description of OR Staff: standard OR support to include APP first assistPatient Age Demographic: allPractice Types/Settings Required:Orthopedic Surgical Cases - TRAUMA, Orthopedic Surgical Cases ADULT, Orthopedic Surgical Cases PEDIATRIC, Orthopedic Surgical Cases GERIATRIC, Hospital, Office/ClinicGeneral Orthopedics - (treatment of fractures, dislocations, amputations, deformities, and tumors of bones and joints): Surgical, Non-SurgicalAdditional Procedures Required or Preferred - All trauma presentations to include pelvis, acetabular, and supracondylar humerus fractures.
